08 Jun 2010 World Accreditation Day 9 June 2010 - Global Acceptance
Ireland (INAB) Will be one of 60 countries that will mark World Accreditation Day on the 9th June 2010. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) and the 12th anniversary of the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA), to raise awareness of the importance of accreditation-related activities.

24 Feb 2010 EMAS III Developments
The EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) Regulation has been revised, and was published as a new regulation (EC) No 1221/2009. It was signed on 25th November 2009, published in the Official Journal on 22nd December 2009, and entered into force 20 days later on 11th January 2010.

05 Feb 2010 GHG emissions trading directive amended to include aviation activities
The Aviation Directive requires all (EU and non-EU) operators of fixed or rotary-wing aircraft over 5,700 kg (12,566 pounds) who fly to, from or within EU countries to participate in the EU Emissions Trading Scheme starting in 2012.
