Resolution for POCT Activities - EA General Assembly - May 2009

Accreditation Bodies when accrediting labs for POCT activities shall use ISO 22870 in comination with either ISO 17025/15189.

The General Assembly considered to resolving that an accreditation body when accrediting laboratories for Point of Care Testing (POCT) activities shall use ISO 22870 in combination with either ISO 15189 or IS0/IEC 17025 as the accreditation criteria.  It further agreed that the accreditation of the POCT against IS0 22870 in comination with IS0 15189 or IS0 17025 is covered under EA MLA for testing.
